ILM Level 3 – Certificate in Starting Your Enterprise - Course Number 879

Whats Involved

Designed to provide you with the key knowledge and skills required to start a business/ enterprise – which may be a social enterprise, charity or co-operative. Equally valuable for the start up of a discrete business unit within a larger organisation.

The Certificate builds and broadens on the understanding gained in the Award. You complete an additional seven mandatory units which cover further practical aspects of business/ enterprise start up including; financial requirements for starting and running a business, market research, complying with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, and how to prepare a business plan.

It will take at least 95 guided learning hours (Glh) to complete. There are 25 credits associated with this qualification. Assessment is by the successful completion of a reflective log, viability review and a business case/plan.

This Course would suit

There are no formal entry requirements but you will normally be seriously considering starting your own business/ enterprise, and have a business/ enterprise idea on which to base your development, or be embarking on the management of a distinct business unit within a larger organisation.

Future Prospects

Successful learners may progress to other business start up or leadership and management development qualifications for example the ILM Level 5 qualifications in Management. Learners who have taken the Award and who have progressed onto the Certificate, do not have to repeat the units that they have already taken.
